Remark.as is Moving Along

I've been really looking forward to the day that Remark.as comes online. Congratulations, Matt!

Thanks, CJ! Glad it has that effect — I do hope the idea of a dedicated place for chatting will give better context to the conversations that happen here.

Having the remarks living in their own community space, like Nate says, makes me think of this more like having a forum for blog posts, which is honestly a refreshing perspective to a comment section. Maybe it makes comments feel more like a place than a tacked on feature of a blog.

I appreciate that input! There's definitely many angles to making something like this. I hope that with everyone's feedback coming into it, and as it gets off the ground, we'll end up somewhere good :) Please be a squeaky wheel about thoughts and ideas you have along the way!

I think I'm “cautiously optimistic” about Remark.as. I've been burned by comment sections on blogs before. I'm sure many others have as well. I like this new idea, with the remarks living in their own community space.
