@Ridwan nothing wrong with that. Most cars nowadays can last long, as long as you keep up with maintenance. I aim to keep our cars for 10 or more years before deciding to get a replacement.

Dino, I'm saving up for my next car. My budget is approx £4000. It may not be the best car but I prefer to buy reliable second-hand cars that I can use for many years. i.e. more than 5 years.
@Ridwan I wish I knew earlier on, that having car payments was not the only way to buy a car. Everyone around me just accepted it as a fact. If you want to buy a car, you have to make car payments. It took me years to realize that this mindset kept you in debt.
I do not have car payments and it’s such a blessing. Honestly, I never had car payments. I have paid my stupid tax when I was young but definitely not a car fleecing payment.
